During the project period, we have been fortunate to work with many competent professionals in the north. People and institutions got connected and many new collaborations have emerged in the past few years, and we hope to continue to see ripple effects of the project in the years to come.
Some of our good colleagues have changed jobs, but fortunately for the art scene in the northern region they stayed in the north! We would like congratulate Kristoffer Dolmen and Cornelius Stiefenhofer on their new positions in the institutions that have been part of the project!
Cornelius Stifenhofer (Germany/Russia/Norway) has taken over as the director of Havremagasinet in Boden, after working as a freelance curator in Arkhangelsk and Tromsø, and as a curator at Pikene på broen in Kirkenes.
Kristoffer Dolmen, our colleague in Nordland County Council and project manager for A-i-R Nordland, has been appointed as the new director of Sámi Dáiddaguovddáš (SDG)/ Sami Center for Contemporary Art in Karasjok.
Artist and curator Karolin Tampere, who took part i CCW Residency program in Arkhangelsk in march 2017, has been working as a curator at The Art Center of Northern Norway (NNKS), Svolvær/NOR since August 2017, as part of the professional staff at the Arts Center, awith responsibility for exhibitions, guest studio programs, art projects and other activities.
